Meet Rebecca
Hello! I’m Rebecca Taylor, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the proud owner of Patchwork Therapy.
With over a decade of experience in behavioral health, I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of settings. My experience at a local domestic violence center sparked my passion for helping people heal from relational trauma and inspired me to specialize in this area.
Our relationships shape so much of who we are, influencing how we see ourselves connect with others. I seek to offer a supportive space to help better understand these patterns and heal from past traumas in order to develop healthier and more fulfilling relationships.
My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and person-centered. I believe that meaningful healing happens within a trusting therapeutic relationship rather than a cold or impersonal approach. My goal is to create a space where you can feel safe, understood, and empowered to explore your experiences at your own pace.
I tailor therapy to meet your unique goals. I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches, including EMDR, Internal Family Systems, DBT, CBT, ERP, and Solution-Fcused. I am also trained in EMDR 2.0, an advanced adaption fo EMDR that focuses on processing memories more efficiently while maintaining a sense of safety.
Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, struggling in relationships, or carrying the weight of past experiences- you don’t have to face it alone. It would be an honor to support you as you move toward healing, self-understanding, and a life that feels more connected and fulfilling.
Patchwork Therapy
Patchwork Therapy is founded on the perspective that our lives are stitched together by different experiences (those good and bad), and also represents the variety of approaches used to “patch” together a therapeutic journey. Every person is individually crafted, and their therapy should be too.
Being social worker owned, Patchwork Therapy not only cares about individual healing, but also the world we live in. Everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and accepted for who they care. My commitment to social justice guides the way I practice, creating an affirming, inclusive space where your unique experiences are honored and we can work together toward healing, growth, and meaningful change. To support one of the communities I honor, I offer gender-affirming care letters that meet WPATH standards of care.
Also, the name is a nod to my soul dog, Patches, who has been the most therapeutic presence in my life. He also sits beside me for most of my telehealth sessions, so he’s been the second therapist to many of my clients over the years.
